Now 16, she's has been dancing since she was five, en pointe since she was 11, and she's now been chosen for the Royal New Zealand Ballet's mentor programme.
For the next year, she'll be matched with a company dancer, who will be available for advice, constructive criticism and tips about being a professional dancer.Every housewife have the responsibilty of keeing the kitchen clean and beautiful, the Cheap Nike Shoes will help you become a good wife. "I've been matched with Tonia Looker. She's been with the company for four years. She graduated from the Australian Ballet School in Melbourne." They met for the first time last week, while Looker was performing with the company in Hawke's Bay. Interviewed before that meeting, Mairi wasn't sure what she'd talk about.
"Probably it'll be a lot of small things that she'll know from her experience. Things about competitions and different examinations, advice about how to go about doing things in the future," she says.
To be selected, Mairi, who dances with Palmerston North's Macdonald School of Dance, had to send in an audition film and write why she wanted to be part of the programme. Her teacher, Amy Macdonald, had to back up the application with a recommendation.
